Roots Picnic – The two-day festival returns to its longtime home of The Mann in Fairmount Park. R&B singer D’Angelo will headline the festival alongside The Roots, marking the Black Messiah musician’s return to Roots Picnic. Lenny Kravitz will take the stage to perform hits as well as his latest studio album Blue Electric Light. Meek Mill will also make his first appearance on the Roots Picnic stage. Roots Picnic will also welcome GloRilla, Tems, Latto, Kaytranada, Jeezy, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Musiq Soulchild, Kur, Elmiene, Jagged Edge, Backyard Band featuring CeeLo Green, Crystal Waters, Lay Banks and Laila. Philadelphia Pride March and Festival – the LGBTQ+ community and allies to participate in a celebration of their community, culture and LGBTQ+ LUV (Love Unity and Visibility). The Pride March will form and organize at 6th and Walnut at 10:30 a.m. and end in the “Gayborhood.” Watch for the largest rainbow pride flag in America, this year expanded to 600 feet long. When the march reaches the Gayborhood, the festival will begin, running from noon to 7 p.m. from Walnut to Pine streets and Quince to Juniper streets, with other select roads closed around the festival footprint. The festival will feature over 200 small businesses and organizations, performers, entertainers, artists, vendors, local bars, food trucks, community organizations, stages and more.

With Love From America: A Honky Tonk For Ukraine – At 7 p.m. at Mario Lanza Park (200 Queen St/). Described as “a toe-tappin’, thigh-slappin’, rootin’, tootin’ good time,” the event features REV Theatre Company and a live band performing classic retro country hits. The show is free and family-friendly and donations will support Save Ukraine, an agency that rescues Ukrainian children deported to Russia and reunites them with their families.

The Dogist – Social media sensation Elias Weiss Friedman will bring special guests and their four-legged best friends as well as stories from local Dogist fans whose dogs have changed their lives. Wawa Welcome America – The festival will feature an expanded lineup of free multicultural and multigenerational events throughout Philadelphia on Benjamin Franklin Parkway with a free star-studded concert featuring the two-time Grammy Award-winning hip-hop icon LL Cool J and Grammy Award-winning R&B singer, songwriter and Philadelphia native Jazmine Sullivan. The concert will be followed by Philadelphia’s largest annual fireworks display over the Parkway beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Philadelphia Folk Festival Preview Concert – At 7 p.m. at Bryn Mawr Twilight Concert Series, 9 S. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Bryn Mawr.
