July 3
Pops on Independence – at Independence National Historical Park from 7-9 p.m. After performing under the moniker the “No Name Pops” since 2023, the 40-plus-year-old Philadelphia tradition returns to its roots. The orchestra, known for playing everything from Broadway to Beethoven, takes the stage at Independence National Historical Park with brand-new music director Chris Dragon, special guest singer-songwriter Ben Folds and a very familiar name: the Philly Pops.
July 4
Salute to Independence Parade – from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mark the United States’ 249th birthday with a celebration of history, culture and diversity. The parade kicks off at 5th and Chestnut streets, passing in front of Independence Hall, before traveling west through Old City to Broad and Arch streets. With a special traveling dance production, performances by the World Champion Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps and the Corotegas Latin Marching Band, and the debut of the first float set for the 2026 parade celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
July 4
Wawa Welcome America – The festival will feature an expanded lineup of free multicultural and multigenerational events throughout Philadelphia on Benjamin Franklin Parkway with a concert featuring the two-time Grammy Award-winning hip-hop icon LL Cool J and Grammy Award-winning R&B singer, songwriter and Philadelphia native Jazmine Sullivan. The concert will be followed by Philadelphia’s largest annual fireworks display over the Parkway beginning at 9:30 p.m.
July 11-13
Cirque du Soleil: OVO – World famous alt-circus Cirque du Soleil returns to the Wells Fargo Center with its production OVO, including all the acrobatic performances, high-energy acts, colorful visuals and elaborate costumes you’d expect from the French-Canadian troupe. The romantic, family-friendly story immerses audiences in the bustling world of insects on the arrival of a quirky bug known as The Foreigner and his mysterious egg (“ovo” in Portuguese), which becomes a symbol of life and transformation within the insect community. The production features foot-juggling ants, hand-balancing dragonflies and contorting spiders on slacklines.

Second City – The improv comedy group is bringing its 65th anniversary tour to Philly with two shows at Live! Casino & Hotel. The show will feature songs and sketches crafted by some of Second City’s famous alumni like Tina Fey, Bill Murray and Stephen Colbert. Philadelphia Folk Festival Preview Concert – At 7 p.m. at Bryn Mawr Twilight Concert Series, 9 S. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Bryn Mawr. An evening featuring performances from Larry Ahearn, Lili Añel, Cloudbelly and Max Davey. It is a free event. All four performers are scheduled to play at this year’s Philadelphia Folk Festival. The event will offer a sneak peek of what to expect on the Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township this summer.

Bed of Roses – The World’s Best Bon Jovi Tribute – At Live! St. Monica’s Clothing Drive – St. Vincent DePaul Conference of St. Monica Parish will hold a clothing drive at St. Monica Senior School, 2500 S. 16th St., from 9 a.m. to noon. Enter the school yard on the Porter Street side. Receipts will be provided upon request. This will be a good time to give to a worthy cause and eliminate clothes you no longer wear.
