Search continues for murder suspect

The FBI’s Philadelphia Field Office continues to assist the Philadelphia Police Department with the search for Byshere Smith, who is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of a man on the 2200 block of S. 23rd Street on June 26, 2024.  

According to officials, the victim was shot to death. Smith was charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possessing Instruments of Crime and Violation of Uniform Firearms Act and a state warrant was issued for his arrest.

Smith, 25, is described as 6 feet 1, 185 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
